ITS A SUNNY DAY!

and i decided to wear GREY and carry the damn cute bag Alvin and JX got for me for my bday! :D awesomeness.



anyway, my camera is slightly impaired already :( I was always pretty dependent on the function to set white balance before because i felt that the lumix fx01 had some issues with its auto WB function (k, they are definitely not alone in that aspect but i really have to rant about its incapacity to function well in low light conditions). so anyhow, since last week, everytime i manually white balance, everything would turn green. it's just sad, and I KEEP FORGETTING that that would happen. so here is an example of how it turns out.

k anyhow, i met with G at town for tea today and it was SOOO PACKED. So, we decided to head to the sleepiest place in town. which unfortunately, would have to be The Heerens these days. Kinda feel bad for them because they used to be really so popular back when i was in secondary school, before all those new updated shopping centres like 313 sprouted out near it. I think the real star attraction then had to be the hugeass HMV that spans three floors, and then massive number of neoprint machines at the top floor. I kinda really liked the top floor because it's just so different from the other floors, like a little maze and the possibility of being crammed with pretty stuff. But anyway, they have this new shopping place called ALT there now. Didnt have time to go check it out today thoo.. O WELL, anyway, my point was not actually to talk about heeren, but about their toilet.

I THINK ITS SO STRANGEEEE!! When i first walked in, I stopped and kept staring to make sure that I don't actually walk into some huge mirror or something. Doesn't it look like some optical illusion? wah lao.

wahahaha. i just took my last exam in NUS several hours ago. Phew. I'm finally done... finally done.. FINALLY DONE?!

okay, before i go into post-schooling quarter-life crisis, i shall get some rest and stop ranting. Really looking forward to just slacking for the next few days and savouring the post-exam feeling. and im probably gonna do some stuff too. will update soon :D

tis mornin'

so before my dad last left town, he requested that i added some music to his iphone, so i helped him update his ipod with music, which i avoided doing before because i couldn't imagine my dad listening to the kinda music i listen to. Anyway, his request came kinda last minute so there wasn't much time for me to customize a playlist for him, so my dad ended up with the exact playlist as my iphone. so anyway, my dad just arrived home last night.

this morning, my dad came to me with his iphone blasting 'i gotta feeling' by the BEP.

'it's been going on and on non-stop for 2 hours! how does it do that?!', dad

me going LOL cos my mom asked me the exact same thing like a few weeks back , 'oh i can help u switch off'.

'nono, just tell me how it does that, it's very cool', dad

so i showed my dad how he accidentally looped BEP on itunes

'so i switch off ah', me

'no, no need. this song loop 2 hours still sound good', then my dad just walked away.

when i left the hse, the song was still looping. :\

MATRIC FAIR!!! :D

Today I helped out with the nuSTUDIOS booth at matric fair! Smint was there and it was soooo crazy fun! hahaha. It was awesome and so unexpected since the day didn't start out on such a high note because of the bloody dreary weather, and mostly cos G forgot that we were supposed to have lunch. But u know, nevermind, gotta blame the weather. I slept in as well because the weather was just too awesome for sleeping. Was supposed to head to school an hour earlier to print my notes out for the open book exam this coming Friday. Andddd u know, i grabbed my favourite cct subway for lunch, which made me queue up forever for it, and tasted so bad it totally drained my energy away.

zzzz. exams stress?? no idea man.

anyhow, I was really quite tired because i stayed up a little later the night before, doing up notes for the ppt slides for a presentation I did a few weeks back. and cos ytd was so damn humid and there was a severe lack of sleep from the night before. ZOWEELL. so what miraculously turned my day from that dreary bleak one to awesome possum? FREAKING AWESOME NESCAFE COFFEE. freak freak freak. so anyway, i decided to take a toilet break, and on my way out of the place i noticed a station giving out samples of Nescafe coffee. Okay so u know usually coffee+headache =not v good idea. I guess i was feeling crazy desperate for some coffee so i asked for a Black coffee. The uncle was surprised and asked if i wanted creamer and sugar but i declined and asked for black. He said 'true coffee drinker huh' while he dispensed me my drink . :D waha. more like calorie conscious yo. but anyway, i did agree with him that sugar and creamer does dilute the taste of coffee. I abhor the taste of coffee with sugar. but i love kopi sometimes. don't know la. i think black coffee is delicious indeed. maybe past the whole calorie conscious stage, i did manage to learn how to appreciate the aroma of black coffee.

owell, the coffee was so damn good. the foam floating on the coffee was so thick and frothy and yummy, and the nescafe coffee had this nutty taste. altho ew, i honestly do not like the aftertaste of nescafe cos it tasted very much like soysauce, or like ungassy beer. but the froth and the taste whilst the coffee was in the mouth was soooo damn good. and furthermore, it felt really good drinking a nice hot cup of coffee while staring at the drizzle. okay, i think i said too much. it was good. that's it.

so then after that, matric fair was a real blast for Smint and I promoting studios. we made friends with the Chinese Orchestra booth opposite ours, whos President decided that it was best to publicise their booth by announcing that he was the President to the freshies (O.o), and trying to 'sell' his cute secretary (a guy), and then faking the giving of a free gift which is his agnes b bag. random enough. but u know, whatever works to boost the morale of his team. :D so the highlights of the day was being able to get like nearly 60 people to sign up at our booth in the span of 4 hours, and getting caught by patrolling NUSSU personnel who stopped me from eating my cct subway but then he turned out to be a member from nuSTUDIOS so he just gave me a warning and let me finish up the sandwich, and then meeting up with Marcus P who shared with me some awesome turkish delight chocolate and gave me this cute souvenir from his holiday to Sidney. :D And he also related to me really funny stories from the Down Under, and all i can say is, 'TSK TSK TSK'. he joked with me that he was an adult sex store and it came across his mind to buy me purple dildo. u sick shit!!! but then again, quite bright of him since purple is currently my adopted favourite colour. well, it's adopted and a recent thing since i came to the thinking that by the tender age of 22, one should at least come to a decision as to what their favourite colour is and not feel so confused by such mundane matters.

okay dad's arrived, going airport now. PIE.

Hokkaido chocolate!

Sean visited me at like 10pm cos he was super bored!???? and alright, he wanted to collect his dslr cos it needed servicing. but y'know, second night in the row!! But this time he was super awesome and brought chocolate he got from his Hokkaido trip!!! WAHHHH yays. Okays, i have to admit i was a tiny bit peeved at first cos u know, it's quite late to be visiting so suddenly. was trying to rid my nocturnal habits, but aiya, best-friend privileges i suppose. can disturb me anytime of the day. well, then he called qing and tak to come as well, so we ate chocolate while watching tv. sean decided that the tv is always much more interesting when u are watching it at another person's home. hmmmm, well i guess i have to concur judging from the amount of tv i watch during all those chinese new year visits to other people's homes.





paiseh, quite grainy shots since it was taken with the iphone 3gs in poor lighting conditions. but still can see the leg, toes all so comfortable on my chair.

the chocolate was really good! kinda reminded me of the royce chocolate? but okay, not like that expert at chocolates whatsoever but it was GOOD. :D but i think the dark chocolate expresso beans from ade's mom is still the most awesome chocolate i ever put in my mouth. it's like an explosion of happy thoughts when i put it in my mouth.

New Look: Want to look like an idol competition

I joined the JayGee membership and got updates of their latest promotions and sorts. Their latest one from New Look is the competition to look like Taylor Momsen. Taylor Momsen is best well-known for her role as Jenny Humphrey in Gossip Girls TV series but did you know she's that little cute girl from the movie The Grinch?! Anyhow, she channels the rock chick style in that show, with platinum blonde hair, blunt bangs, long curled hair, and of course, the dark eyes!

Soooo... what drew me to the competition was FREE MAKEOVER (makeup+hair!). WAHHHH!!!!! :D so i got two pairs of heels (which i wanted anywayyyy) and clocked up above 50 dollar nett, and signed up for the contest! AWESOMENESS!

makeovers are usually really fun and I always been curious to know how I would look rock chick. It's probably like remnants from my former infatuation with the band My Chemical Romance, the dark eyeliner and shit.

So, rocker chick make-up focues on drawing attention to the eyes with the use of dark eye-shadows. The Majolica Majorca MUA who did my makeup was really sweet and nice although she didn't really say a lot except for the occasional instructions to 'look up' and 'look down' while she was drawing my eyes. But she did do a fantastic job and I absolutely love the gradient from shimmery light to dark.

Next in line to complete the rocker chick look, my hair was being 'tonged' by hairstylist and products by Joico. I believe that both Marjolica Marjoca and Joico are like from Shisheido.





The hairstylist was really good!! I was really so afraid of looking 'auntie' cos i honestly think that curls look pretty bad on me, but she did such an awesome job! U know, some hair salons do curls which seem to go all over the place and never fall nicely like the way she did my hair? And she did the job really really quickly! And she's got some pretty impressive stamina, since she was the only hairstylist while there were 3 MUAs?

Okayyy, nextup was the photoshoot. I get to choose a LUMIX camera to pose with and i chose hot red. :P nice, really love it!





eh it kinda looks quite nice right? but i really wonder how the actual pictures would turn out!

Okay and a video!!! tired of typing alr. anyhow, overall it was pretty fun, and even though they call it a contest and all, the atmosphere was really relaxed and all the girls were just there to have fun. :D Yayness.

hihihihihi. okay after a long hiatus, i decided i have to QUIT procrastinating on this blog and start posting something! there's so many things happening in my life, and i always imagine a blogpost in my head, and nothing ever really materializes at the end of the day.
